A new article has just been published in Free For All News that highlights the wealth of events and activities that are happening in the McKenzie River Valley. Jonnie Helfrich and Marilyn Cross were interviewed for the article, which covers everything from rafting and fishing to the new McKenzie History Highway panels that are now being installed up and down the river.
Here’s a sample:
The McKenzie River Valley is a diverse area ripe with agritourism and recreational activities. Dee Wright Observatory, Cougar Hot Springs, and Belknap Hot Springs are just some of the area’s favorite attractions while family-friendly events like the McKenzie River Lavender Festival, McKenzie River Chainsaw & Art Festival, and Tokatee Anniversary Celebration bring everyone together for fun in the sun.
Also, just in case you missed it, there was an excellent blog post earlier this year from Travel Lane County highlighting some great stops to make along the river to sample some locally grown produce. The article, A River Runs Through It can be found on the Travel Lane County website now!
